The most common light in America in 2013 was the 4 foot fluorescent tube. These will all be replaced by led tube lights or complete new fixtures.

 The Hybrid tube light is now readily available. These lights work with or without a ballast. The normal maintainence cycle can be used to upgrade. Replace a light with a light. remove the ballast when it fails and wire the fixture to operate on line voltage 100-277 vac
